Starting on Saturday: Half Term at The Keep Military Museum

Head to The Keep Military Museum in Dorchester this half term and help the Victorian soldiers build the brand new barracks! Travel back to 1879 and help Captain Jobberns build a brand new home for the Dorsetshire Regiment.

This new children's trail will guide you around the Grade II listed building, once the depot of Dorchester's military barracks, and get you building a brand new home for the Dorsets!

Saturday: Art in the Park

Art in Poundbury is delighted to welcome Landscape Artist of the Year 2023, Finn Campbell-Notman to judge at its outdoor painting event, Art in The Park - The Great Poundbury Paint Out, on Saturday, May 27 from 10am to 4pm, on The Great Field in Poundbury.

More than 70 en plein air artists will be taking part in the event and visitors are welcome.

Saturday: Dorchester Repair Cafe

This month, Dorchester Repair Café will be held at Charminster Community Hall on Saturday, May 27 from 10am to 12noon,

The repairers will be waiting for you, ready to tackle your broken clocks, clothes, small appliances and more! Come along with your broken bits, or just wander in to see what we’re up to – and enjoy a coffee and cake in the lovely café while you wait.

Saturday: Choral Eucharist

St Peter's Church in Dorchester invite you to their monthly cathedral-style service of Choral Evensong for Pentecost on Saturday, May 27 at 4.30pm.

The music includes Tallis 'O Lord, give thy Holy Spirit', Neary 'Preces & Responses', Joanna Forbes L'Estrange 'Kings College Service' and Elgar 'The spirit of the Lord'.
