Saturday: Dorchester Repair Cafe

Dorchester Repair Cafe will this month be held at Shire Hall Museum, from 10am to 12noon on Saturday, April 29.

The repairers will be waiting for you, ready to tackle your broken clocks, clothes, small appliances and more! Come along with your broken bits, or just wander in to see what they're up to – and enjoy a coffee and cake in the museum cafe while you wait.

Saturday: FUNdraising Auction of Promises and Items

A fun evening with unique items and promises up for bid at an exciting auction event in aid of the Family Counselling Trust Dorset. A wide variety of amazing prizes will be up for grabs alongside a delicious ploughman's supper at Martinstown Village Hall, from 7pm on Saturday, April 29.

Bank Holiday Monday: Pre-Loved Clothing Sale

Relate Dorset and South Wiltshire are holding a Preloved Clothing and Accessories sale on Bank Holiday Monday, May 1 at its centre in Poundbury (next door to Castle Vets).

There will be a range of stall holders selling preloved clothes and accessories such as hats, belts, costume jewellery. Entry is free and there will also be a raffle prize draw with lots of prizes donated by local businesses. Why not come along and update your wardrobe ready for the summer?

Bank Holiday Monday: Shire Hall Museum celebrates fifth anniversary

To celebrate five years since opening, Shire Hall Museum in Dorchester is offering a special entry price to visitors on Monday, May 1. Adult day tickets will be priced at £5 and children will benefit from free entry.

Based in Dorchester town centre, the museum brings over 200 years of history to life, with interactive galleries, immersive cells and the impressive historic courtroom.
