POLICE have reported on a successful prosecution of a careless and erratci driver .

On Saturday, 13 May last year Dorset Police received four separate reports of careless driving within the Poundbury area of Dorchester.

It was reported that the driver of a BMW was driving erratically, doing wheel spins and handbrake turns in the vicinity of Queen Mother Square and Bridport Road.

The registered keeper of the vehicle attended Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 20 February 2024 in relation to an offence of careless driving and received a fine of £691 and eight penalty points on their licence.

A statement from police says: "Dorset Police takes all reports of anti-social behaviour and careless driving extremely seriously and we would urge all members of the public to report these incidents to us.

"We will always endeavour to catch those responsible and bring them before the courts to receive justice."
