A Victory Day Civic Service to commemorate the 76th anniversary of VE and VJ Day will be held in Dorchester's Borough Gardens on Sunday, August 15.
It will be held from 11.30am at the gardens' bandstand.

To celebrate its 13th birthday, Brewery Square is inviting everyone to enjoy and range of free events.
On Saturday, August 14, the square will embrace a seaside experience as it's kitted out with vibrant deckchairs, with families invited to enjoy the classic slapstick humour of the much-loved Punch & Judy show at 12noon, followed by a second performance at 2pm.
Join Dorset Museum for creative fun every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday in August from 11am to 12noon and 2pm to 3pm.
The activities are based on the museum's art collection and participants will be inspired to create their own specific special masterpieces using a variety of colourful craft materials.

Dorchester town clerk Adrian Stuart has announced he will retire next March – after more than eight years with the town council.
He came to the authority from the former combined West Dorset District Council and Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash near Dorchester.
Dorset Police were called at around 4.05pm on Monday, August 9 to a report of a car crash involving a black BMW 1 Series and a blue Kia Niro on the B3159 between Monkton Park and Martinstown, near to the cricket club.
A change from a garage to a delicatessen has been agreed at 7 South Walks Road, Dorchester.
The one-woman business is expected to keep normal shop hours, not opening on Sundays.

Fire crews took over a building site in Bridport last night (Monday) to practice rescuing two people from a height.
Crews from Bridport Fire Station, along with Dorchester Fire Station and Weymouth Fire Station technical rescue team, carried out a simulation drill on the crane at the site next to Sydney Gale.
