Free parking continues in Dorchester this weekend.

Park4FREE was relaunched this year and shoppers can enjoy free parking in most Dorset Council-run car parks in the town on Small Business Saturday on December 4 as well as on Wednesday, December 22, December 27 and 28 and January 3.

Dorset Council to consider 20-year lease of Dorchester's South Walks House to NHS

A report recommending a 20-year lease of Dorset Council's South Walks House building in Dorchester to the NHS will be discussed next option.

This is the authority's preferred option for the future of the building and will come before Dorset Council's cabinet on December 7. Local NHS organisations will make their decision on this in February/March 2022.

Staff at a Dorchester school have gone above and beyond to inspire the next generation of writers, geographers, explorers and pilots by transforming their playing field - with the help of the Royal Navy.

Children arrived at The Prince of Wales School this week to a snow-covered runway breaking out through the front doors of their school, with headteacher Gary Spracklen dressed in 'steam-punk' clothing next to a 20 ft Christmas tree.
