Cases have risen again across Dorset over the past week.
Public Health Dorset reports that there are 1,994 confirmed cases in the last seven days in the Dorset Council area, compared to 1,664 on November 12, and 2,283 in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council area, compared to 1,923 on November 12.

Dorchester is getting behind a nationwide vigil to support midwives and call on the government to act on the crisis in maternity services.
March with Midwives is taking place on Sunday (November 21) from 3pm, with a group of mums, supporters, midwives, health care professionals and more meeting in Dorchester opposite The Sydney Arms, at the edge of Dorset County Hospital car park by the traffic lights.

Dorchester's Range store is to be allowed to increase the type of items it can sell – including more food and drink.
The application had been opposed by town councillor Stella Jones, fearing that it could lead to the store becoming more of a food supermarket, causing additional parking problems in the area.

Christmas returns to Dorchester's Brewery Square, starting with the Christmas lights illumination.
The annual switch-on takes place on Saturday, November 27 from 4pm, which is also when Skating in the Square begins.

Get some Christmas shopping done deep within cells in Dorchester as the Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum Christmas Market returns.
Taking place on Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12, the market will be free to enter and there will be everything from food and drink to jewellery and photography.

New documents have shed light on the lives of two of Dorset's most prominent historical figures - writer Thomas Hardy and Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy.
The recent purchases at auction, funded jointly by Friends of the National Library and Dorset Archives Trust, include letters and a book, which will be held for public benefit at Dorset History Centre (DHC).
