A burger and cider bar and restaurant in Dorchester has closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Cow & Apple on Trinity Street has closed permanently after four years in the town.

The announcement on its website states: "Unfortunately we have had to close the Dorchester restaurant due to unforeseen circumstances.

"It has been a very difficult time since re-opening after the impact of Covid-19 and we are simply unable to continue.

"We would like to thank all of our customers for your support over our four years in Dorchester. Thank you."

The Yeovil Cow & Apple branch remains open.
