Joey's Doggie Day Care is growing and will soon be open five days a week, allowing the team to welcome even more four legged play pals to their ultimate happy place for dogs.

Sara Buxton will be joining her partner Tom at the day care full-time, which has been a dream of theirs for years!

Sara said: "This has been the dream for so long and I still can't quite believe it's happening.

"To finally be able to spend all my time doing what I love and share my day with all the beautiful pups is so exciting."

Joeys Doggie Day Care provides the ultimate enrichment & socialisation experience for dogs of all sizes. The perfect place to visit for the day, have fun with new friends, take part in games & activities and use their doggie senses to explore.

It is named after the couple's Jack Russell, Joey, who they sadly lost to sudden illness. After Joey crossed the rainbow bridge, they realised life was too short and decided to build the ultimate happy place for dogs.

Tom Said: "It's so amazing to hear all the wonderful feedback from customers! So, to now be able to offer more dogs the opportunity to join the fun with extra opening days is fantastic."

Ann Kirby, Joey's customer, said: "Choosing day care for a lockdown puppy, who has never spent any time away from us, was a challenge. I had read about Joey's and loved the ethos, learning, structure and fun in a big open space. Little did I believe how wonderful the whole experience would be.

"Tom worked with our dog through separation anxiety, learning manners around other dogs and confidence. She receives limitless love, care delivered with humour, clear guidelines, knowledge and professionalism.

"Tom and Sara are an extension to our dog's family. She can't wait to be collected from our home and comes home shattered. A one of a kind doggy daycare - we would never send her anywhere else."

Joey's Doggie Day isn't to simply look after your dog while you're at work. It focuses on providing enrichment and development, encouraging their natural behaviours with interesting places to explore, sniffing games, digging/foraging & social interaction.

Dogs are required to attend the day care on the same days each week so that social groups are consistent and they are picked up and dropped off together at home. They are carefully assessed before being invited to join, which includes a phone consultation, a visit to the centre, a behavioural assessment and trial afternoon. It's this attention to detail that makes Joey's such a special place.
