International theatre and TV star Dame Harriet Walter will perform at a fundraiser for Dorchester Arts this week.

Dame Harriet Walter, a patron of Dorchester Arts known for her many film and TV appearances including Killing Eve, Ted Lasso, The Crown and Belgravia, will perform at the 'What the Dickens!' fundraising event on Friday, March 10.

She has received a Laurence Olivier Award as well as numerous nominations including for a Tony Award, three Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2011, she was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to drama.

Dame Harriet, a Dorset resident, will be performing extracts from Dickens' novels, along with her husband, actor Guy Paul, at 'What the Dickens!' at Dorchester Corn Exchange – a celebration of all things Dickensian.

The evening also includes performances by fantastic magician The Great Baldini, as well as local choir the Encore Singers.

With a light Dickensian supper served, this will be an enjoyable evening in support of Dorchester Arts and its community work.
