A brand-new takeaway is coming to Dorchester - Middle Eastern food offering "something for everyone".

Hamza is expanding on his falafel market stall and will be offering Middle Eastern, Syrian, Lebanese and Jordanian dishes.

Hazma's Cuisine is planning to open on Thursday, March 19 and will be based in the kitchen of Tom Brown's pub at 47 High East Street.

It will be takeaway collection for now on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm to 9pm, but once lockdown ends, the team will be offering an eat in service at the pub, with outdoor seating in the pub's riverside garden once the weather gets better.

Hazma said: "For the last year and a half or so, I have been operating a falafel market stall in Dorchester High Street and at Bridport market, but as Middle Eastern food is so much more than just falafel, I now want to bring an even bigger taste of the Middle East here to Dorchester.

"Food is such an integral part of Middle Eastern life, with meal times being a time to meet, share and socialise.

"We believe we have something for everyone on our menu, offering a range of traditional Middle Eastern food, including an ample selection of vegetarian and vegan options. From Syria, to Jordan to Lebanon, our authentic dishes hail from all manner of different countries and include a wide variety of ingredients, always freshly prepared to create hearty and flavourful meals.

"It is also important to us to ensure that my business has the smallest environmental impact as possible, so we have worked hard to ensure that all our packaging is completely plastic free and sourced from biodegradable plant-based materials. Our paper bags are recyclable and all our food containers are home compostable.

"It's been good fun and hard work to establish this business in these challenging times, and we couldn't have done it without the support of Tom Brown's and our friends and family."

The menu can be found at hamzascuisine.co.uk where there is also a link to order online.
