Business has boomed for Dorchester's The Embroidery Barn - from branding facemasks for global companies to becoming an official dealer of one of the biggest eco-friendly and sustainable businesses.

The Embroidery Barn is now part of the Stanley/Stella family, a clothing brand which works with a handpicked selection of official dealers across Europe who are experts in textile decoration.

Since buying The Embroidery Barn three years ago, Rosie Lees said: "Our passion for binging sustainability and quality to this industry has got us to where we are today, and signing a dealership with one of the leading organic garment suppliers in the industry is a goal that has happened a lot sooner than expected.

At the beginning of the pandemic, Rosie was working alone at the barn and contributed to a local community face mask campaign which then led to branding facemasks for local businesses as they started to open back up last year.

This led to global companies coming to The Embroidery Barn wanting facemasks with their branding on, creating these for the US embassy, to LUSH, Lanson, Nikon, Christies and even James Bond.

With a growth of more than 150 per cent in the past 12 months, they caught the eye of a global organic garment supplier who wanted to get them onboard.

Stanley/Stella is a sustainable, organic wholesale garment supplier that only sells through dealers. The owner hand picks decorators, like The Embroidery Barn, which have the same ethos and have a passion for sustainability. This puts The Embroidery Barn on the global map where customers can source the highest quality garments.
