Dorchester Arts is nearly at the halfway mark in its fundraising campaign.

The group launched its Bridge the Gap Crowdfunder earlier this month and has already raised more than £9,000.

It wants to raise £20,000 to help fill a gap in its funding due to the ongoing effects of Covid-19, a reduction in local authority funding and a loss of normal income due to building works.

Plans to improve the Corn Exchange - which Dorchester Arts will be taking over the day-to-day running of once complete - and the Theatre at The Thomas Hardye School are taking shape. These include new seats, lights, sound and projection equipment, as well as a new community space in the foyer.

For more information and to donate, visit the Crowdfunder page here.
