Traffic is queuing near Winterbourne Abbas after a vehicle has crashed into a ditch.

Travel Dorset reports the A35 is closed both ways due to recovery work between Copyhold Land and Longlands Lane.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 9.04am on Thursday, March 24 to a report of a single vehicle collision on the A35 in Winterbourne Abbas. It is reported that a vehicle was in a ditch. Recovery has been requested. Officers are in attendance. No reports of any injuries."

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
