The Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to announce the end of coronavirus restrictions in England on Monday, but many businesses across Dorchester will be keeping some in place.

Wearing masks, social distancing, and protective screens may remain in some of the town's establishments - let us know what you're doing and be added to our list for readers to know what restrictions - or not - are in place when they visit you.

Here's what some businesses in Dorchester will be doing:

  • MeraKi Poundbury - customers are asked to continue wearing masks unless exempt and the only change will be for colour clients who will be offered drinks again while their colour is developing
  • Finca Dorchester - social distancing will remain in place, no additional seating inside, staff will continue to wear masks and doors will remain open for ventilation
  • Tom Brown's pub - the skittle alley will remain a socially distanced area for those who wish to have a quiet drink and feel safer, events that encourage a large number of people will still not be held, hand sanitiser will still be available, some safe may continue to wear a mask and hand sanitiser will still be available
  • Dorset County Hospital - there will be no changes to guidelines within healthcare settings. All patients, staff and visitors must continue to wear face coverings, socially distance, wear PPE while visiting wards and wash your hands
  • Plaza Cinema - the 50 per cent cap on admission will be removed, the distance between booked seats will be reduced (from two seats to one), bookings will no longer be governed by rule of six or households, staff will continue wearing face masks and customers also encouraged to and screens will remain by retail areas
  • Shire Hall Courthouse Museum - visitors are no longer required to wear a mask although it is encouraged for them to continue wearing them, there is a one way system throughout and visitors can use the track and trace app
  • The Horse With The Red Umbrella - still adhering to the former rules by continuing to wear face masks, screens in place and hand sanitiser
