A Dorchester car showroom could be knocked down and completely rebuilt.

Citroen at Millers Close say they want to renew a 2017 planning permission to demolish the existing garages and build a new showroom and forecourt.

If approved by Dorset Council the new layout will result in a slight reducing in parking spaces from 35 to 33 but will increase the sales area from 150 to 350 square metres.

The company says that the only real change from the previously, approved, application is that the front elevation is now all glass and the branding of Mazda has been removed. This is to allow for the option of other franchises to use the showroom.

Comments on the proposal, ref P/FUL/2021/00750, remain open on the Dorset Council website until June 8.
