Dorchester: Dorset Museum celebrates Festival of Archeology with free events

Local News by Lottie Welch 27th Jul 2021

Dorset Museum is celebrating the 2021 Festival of Archaeology with free events this week.

Discover more about Dorset's vast and rich history with the festival's theme of 'exploring local places'.

Amazing Archaeology will take place on Wednesday, July 28 and Saturday, July 30. Roll up your sleeves and dig deep into the museum's craft activities.

Enjoy a mosaic art day on Friday, July 30 and join artist Ann-Marie James at an informal drop-in session to create artwork inspired by Roman mosaics in the Museum's Victorian Hall.

The events are free with museum entry.
