Dorchester Fire Station responds to more than 60 incidents in June

Throughout June, Dorchester Fire Station crew were called out to 61 incidents, the equivalent of more than two shouts a day.

Firefighters dealt with:

• Six road traffic collisions

• 25 alarm calls

• One hazmat incident

• Two rescues from height

• Five standby moves to other stations

• Four small fires

• Six property fires

• One heath fire

• One animal rescue

• Two vehicle fires

• Four times they helped other agencies

• One rescue from a lift

• One chimney fire

• One small of burning

• One fuel spill

• Two local area exercises supporting colleagues from other stations

And it's only the beginning of the month (Thursday, July 1) and the team has already been sent for standby duties at Weymouth, alarms and a road traffic collision.
