Businesses are being invited to support local schoolchildren and bring a creative festival to Dorset.

Sponsors are needed to get involved with the inaugural Shakespeare by The Sea Festival that will take place on Wednesday, February 16 at Weymouth Pavilion.

The festival will include whole classes perform shortened versions of Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and A Midsummer Night's Dream to live audiences.

Gary Spracklen, event organiser and headteacher at The Prince of Wales School in Dorchester, said: "This is a unique opportunity to get involved in something that will create lifetime memories for South Dorset schoolchildren.

"In total, over 120 children are taking part in this year's festival from across Weymouth and Dorchester.

"The event promises to be a spectacular celebration of creativity and we'd love local businesses to get involved."

Tickets for the festival are now available at Weymouth Pavilion.

There are different tiers of sponsorship available with different benefits. To find out more about sponsoring the event, email [email protected]
