Dorchester: Man is seriously injured after crash involving a horse box and motorcycle

A man suffered serious injuries after a crash between a motorcycle and a horsebox on the A35.
Dorset Police received a report at 12.48pm on Sunday, August 29 of a collision at the junction with Long Bredy Hut Lane, between Winterbourne Abbas and Bridport.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Officers attended and the westbound carriageway was closed as emergency services dealt with the incident.
"One man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
"The road was reopened at around 4.30pm."
