Dorchester: Met Office issues yellow weather warning for wind
Dorchester: Met Office issues yellow weather warning for wind

A yellow weather warning for wind is in place for Dorchester and the South West today (Saturday).

The Met Office issued the warning as Storm Arwen is expected to bring high winds that may cause some travel disruption and damage.

Residents are urged to take care as there could be some damage to trees and buildings, road, rail, ferry and air services could be affected with longer journey times and cancellations possible, some roads and bridges may close, power cuts may occur and large waves could batter the coast.
