CHANGES to homes and rural properties in Martinstown, Galton, Cerne Abbas, Frampton, Crossways, and Frome Vauchurch are being proposed in the latest rural planning applications.

In Martinstown, an application seeks permission for a detached dwelling on land west of Dukes Close ( P/PIP/2025/07082).

At Manor Farm, Galton, plans have been lodged to construct an agricultural building for hay and straw storage along the farm's access track ( P/PABA2/2025/03064).

In Cerne Abbas, a homeowner at 7 Long Street is proposing alterations to the property's frontage, installation of new rear double doors, a stable door, and internal remodelling ( P/HOU/2025/06725).

In Frampton, listed building consent is being sought to replace the front door and sidelights with a painted timber ledge-and-brace door and clear double-glazed sidelights at 22 Dorchester Road ( P/LBC/2025/06532).

In Crossways, plans have been submitted to extend a garage and construct a new roof with a dormer to create office space above at 18 Dick O' Th Banks Road ( P/HOU/2025/06682).

In Frome Vauchurch, proposals include a two-storey rear extension featuring a Juliet balcony, new rooflights, and a porch at 3 Back Lane ( P/HOU/2025/06614).

All applications are currently under consideration, and residents are encouraged to view and comment via the Dorset Council planning portal.
