A new Dorset-linked award winning documentary has been released.

In 2021 the feature film " Lawrence: After Arabia" was released and went onto win 32 awards at 20 film festivals. Filmed in Dorset the same team has now produced a new feature length documentary  (100 minutes) called "Who Killed Lawrence of Arabia?" which is due for release on the 1st November 2024.

The documentary provides an in-depth investigation into the motorcycle crash which ended the life of T.E. Lawrence aka Lawrence of Arabia. Uncovering compelling evidence it proves Lawrence's crash was not an accident but something more sinister.

Expert input is provided by historians and investigators Andrew Gough, Rev. Lionel Fanthorpe, Niall Cooper, motorcycle expert Julian Amos, probability expert Paul Swift, writers and T.E. Lawrence experts Jan Woolf and Mark J.T. Griffin and senior lecturer in Arab studies Feras Alkabani. The documentary is narrated by Russell Biles.

Based on the non-fiction book called "Who Killed Lawrence of Arabia?" published in August 2022, it delves deeply into the crash approaching the death as a murder – who would benefit and who had the means, motive and opportunity to remove Lawrence investigating Lawrence's fatal crash, his death and the aftermath. Through investigation and document examination it reveals a plethora of evidence for an assassination – challenging the official story.

The documentary, which has already won "Best Feature Documentary" at five festivals, is contemporary and relevant, directly connecting Lawrence's military campaign a century ago in the Middle East to the current ongoing conflict. 2025 also commemorates the 90 year anniversary of Lawrence's death and we expect a wealth of interest in the subject.

Only ten screenings have been planned from 1st November and the Dorset relevant dates are shown below:
