Have haunting Halloween fun at Dorchester's Shire Hall

Enjoy the ultimate Halloween-themed visit with some spooky family-friendly fun at Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum.
From Monday, October 25 to Saturday, October 30, Shire Hall will be offering a range of activities at treats alongside its interactive galleries, immersive cells and impressive courtroom.
Abbie King, director of Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum, said: "Halloween is our favourite time of the year here at Shire Hall, so we're delighted to welcome families back to the museum this half-term for a week packed full of spooky and fun activities."
Children will be able to take part in slippery slime making workshop from 11am to 3pm each day. Around the museum, families can enjoy the count the spider trial and there will be a selection of Halloween themed treats and autumnal drinks available in the café. Plus, children dressed up for Halloween get free entry to the museum.
Alongside its family friendly events, Shire Hall is hosting Spells in the Cells, an evening of magical cocktail making on Saturday, October 30. Taking place in Shire Hall's historic cells, visitors will be able to make their own transfiguration tonic and cauldron cocktails.
