Meet Dorchester town councillors at the informal drop-in event

Residents of Dorchester are being offered the chance to meet their local town councillors at a drop-in event on Friday, May 19.

The drop-in will be held as an informal annual town meeting, where residents will be able to hear about the work of Dorchester Town Council over the past year and ask councillors questions.

The event will be held between 11am and 1pm on Friday, May 19 at the Corn Exchange.

Take the opportunity to see how your local democracy is working for you, and tell councillors what you think should be priorities for the town over the coming year.

Partners from local voluntary organisations will also be attending to showcase some of the projects they have been carrying out.

A spokesperson for Dorchester Town Council said: "We are pleased to be hosting our second informal annual town meeting and would like to invite all local residents to come along and speak with their local councillors and meet with some of the great community organisations we support in the town.

"We will be presenting formal reports at noon about the work the town council has been involved with over the last year, so this is also a good opportunity to find out how your council has been working for you."

This is a free drop-in event and refreshments will be served.
