CONCERNS have been raised about a van which is blocking an access to housing association properties in High West Street, Dorchester.

The vehicle, a Ford Transit, has been ticketed for parking by Dorset Council wardens several times with people living in the area saying, on Friday, that it had been left there "for four or five days."

Magna Housing Association said they were aware of the van, which is blocking access to homes, where signs are in position asking drivers to leave the entrance clear, allowing access for emergencies.

Dorset Council was asked if it planned to take any action – other than continue to issue parking tickets, but has not responded.

The vehicle, according to DVLC records, is taxed until the end of December 2025 and also has a current MoT. It clearly has four damaged tyres.

Dorset Council has also been asked about a car parked in a time-limited waiting zone in Coburg Road, Dorchester, which has been in place for several weeks. It too has been ticketed several times.

It has also not responded to a question about what, if anything, it can do about the silver saloon, which is situated close to a corner on a busy school route.
