A ground-breaking new VR experience has officially launched at Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum.

Award-winning artist Jason Wilsher-Mills was back at the Dorchester venue to share stories from the disabled community through art and technology, and unveil 'The Wackiest Race: Jason vs the System'.

It takes the form of a race and allows people to be transported into a dystopian world of his creation and tells the stories of disabled people's experiences of the DWP benefits system, which measures how disabled they are.

Guests at the launch were invited to try out the new experience, which will be at Shire Hall Historic Courthouse Museum October 1.

And for the first time, Shire Hall will be exhibiting all of its pieces of Jason's work together.

The Tolpuddle Legacy will be available to see from September 10 to December 1 and will include:

  • The Tolpuddle Martyrs remixed AR experience
  • Jason vs the System - the VR experience
  • The Parliament Banner
And for a limited time…
  • The Tolpuddle Sheep Argonaut
