Path tipping angers residents in Dorchester
By Trevor Bevins - Local Democracy Reporter 24th Jun 2026
RESIDENTS have been surprised by a pile of building rubble fly-tipped on a path in Dorchester town centre.
The path runs between Trinity Street and the former Dorset County Hospital site and is difficult to reach by car.
Resident Dorothy Maggs said: "This morning walking down Alexandra Terrace in Dorchester town centre I came across a pile of unsightly fly tipping comprising lumps of concrete, old bricks etc.
"This was right in front of the row of elegant Edwardian town houses. How this was carried to this spot is bewildering, but obviously someone trying to get to get rid of it and thought this was a good spot."

Since Mrs Maggs spotted the pile of rubbish a note has been put on it by a resident asking for it to be removed – and warning that neighbours in the terrace are now keeping an eye out.
