Patrolling Poundbury!

POLICE have been on the front foot in the Dorchester area, promoting the pro-active policing officers have been carrying out.

During the past week officers took time to conduct mobile patrols around Poundbury after reports over the past couple of weeks of persons trying vehicle and garage door handles overnight.

A statement says: "The area was quiet but continued patrols over the coming days and weeks will help deter would be opportunists.

"Patrol officers try to make as many proactive mobile patrols as possible, while also responding to emergency 999 calls.

"We ask for continued support of residents to make sure all property is secure and to report concerns or suspicious behaviour through 101.

"Call 999 for crime in progress or if someone is in immediate danger."
