A man has gone missing from Dorchester and the police are appealing for the public's help to find him.

David Cross, aged 65, was reported missing having last been seen in Poundbury at around 10am this morning (Tuesday, November 16).

He is described as white and six feet tall with shoulder-length greying hair. David was wearing a beige padded jacket, grey jumper, blue jeans and black shoes.

Chief Inspector Jamie Clarke, of Dorset Police, said: "David can become easily confused and we are growing concerned for his welfare.

"We are keen to locate him as soon as possible and are carrying out searches in the Dorchester area.

"I would urge anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or who sees a man matching the description given, to please contact us immediately.

"I would also like to make a direct plea to David if you see this appeal – please make contact with us or your family as we all just want to make sure you are safe and well."

Anyone with information or knowledge as to David's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/do-it-online, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 16:318.
