Police, fire and ambulance called after car crashes and flips on its side

Police, fire and the ambulance service all responded to a car that had crashed and flipped on its side this morning (Tuesday).

Police were called just before 10.30am to a report of a two-car crash in Long Ash Lane at the junction of the A356 near Dorchester.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "It was reported that one of the vehicles was on its roof. Officers attended with the fire and ambulance services. One of the vehicles was recovered and the road reopened at around 12.15pm."

Crews from Dorchester also attended.

A spokesman for Dorchester Fire station said: "On arrival we found a car on its side having rolled and the occupants of the car were already out and safe.

"We administered casualty care to the two occupants of the vehicle until handing over to paramedics. We also made the car and scene safe before leaving the scene in the hands of the police."
