Dorchester's Cheriton Care Home is quickly becoming the home of choice and has only a few rooms left.

Agincare's care home on Weymouth Avenue is home to around 70 residents but it is filling up fast.

It's no surprise that Cheriton Care Home is such a popular choice, with residents enjoying trips out and about, a range of activities in the home, ice creams in the garden and much more.

It recently received a number of glowing reviews, praising the staff and care given as "kind", "friendly", "dedicated" and "making the world a better place".

Cheriton manager Denise Chrippes said: "The whole team at Cheriton is passionate about giving our residents the best care possible, it's their home after all.

"Word of mouth and personal recommendation are very important when it comes to choosing a care home, so we're pleased that more and more residents are coming to Cheriton.

"A care home is a real community and social interaction is so important towards making sure everyone feels happy, safe and well.

"There's a lovely buzz around Cheriton and it's great to have so many residents joining in with activities and generally spending quality time enjoying each other's company."

Things are slowly returning to normal at Cheriton Care Home following the coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, with loved ones once again able to visit, activities resuming and trips out and about with friends, family or care staff.

Cheriton Care Home, comprising Badbury House and Maumbury House, is a home from home, fully equipped to support a range of needs and requirements, as well as high-quality residential, respite, reablement and dementia care.
