POLICE in Dorchester have been carrying out extra patrols in some of the more rural areas of the region over the last couple of evenings, with the assistance of colleagues from the Rural Crime Team.

A statement from local officers says: "While out, we have stopped numerous vehicles, carried out stop searches and issued traffic offence reports.

"Please continue to report any issues or concerns to us so we can direct our patrols accordingly."
