Both Bridport and Dorchester crews were called to a serious three-car crash on Saturday, with one person having to be released from a car.

They responded to the incident on the C12 - also known as the old Sherborne Road - just before 5pm.

A spokesman for Dorchester Fire Station said: "Once crews were in attendance, we confirmed that this was a three-vehicle collision with one person still trapped medically.

"Crews administered casualty care until the arrival of the ambulance. Crews then used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car and release the casualty and pass into the care of the ambulance crews."
