There's still time to enter the Dorchester and Poundbury Business Awards.

Entries are open until 2pm on Monday, April 12 and are free for businesses to enter themselves or for people to nominate a business that has gone above and beyond.

Organisers have worked hard to ensure the awards cover every type of business.

The categories are:

  • Best community support - seen to be supporting other businesses or people during the pandemic
  • Best customer/client service
  • Arts, crafts and artisans
  • Mental wellbeing and awareness
  • Best use of digital
  • Green business of the year
  • New business of the year
  • Health, beauty and fitness
  • Independent business of the year
  • Retail business of the year
  • Service provider of the year
  • Café/pub of the year
  • Rising star of the year - 16 to 25-year-old either starting out in business or working within a business
  • Overall winner

The Dorchester and Poundbury Business Awards website has had more than 600 views and the awards are on course to have well over 100 entries.

The awards will be held at Minterne House at lunchtime on Thursday, June 24. They will also be live streamed for those unable to attend.
