A village site in Martinstown could be used for a Forest School if Dorset Council grant planning permission.

An application has been submitted for a paddock south of Grove Hill Dairy, Grove Hill, Martinstown. It asks for a wooden shelter for use as a Forest School on the site known locally as Hob's Bottom. Access to the site will be via a farm track.

The site is owned by the Duke family and the operation is expected to be run, if approved, by members of the family.

The application says that a portaloo will be brought onto the site when it is in operation and removed when not in use.

Working hours are planned to be 9am to 4pm Monday to Saturday with parents dropping children off, and with only two cars on the site at any time.

The shelter will be open on two side and just over 4m square and up to 2.75m tall at the highest point.
