We've picked some events happening in and around the town this weekend for you to enjoy:

Friday: Discover Dorchester

A great opportunity to Discover Dorchester - Explore our historic market town, which is the county town of Dorset, with its wealth of heritage and historic buildings.

The event will run from Friday 16th September to Sunday 18th September exploring Poundbury on Friday, Fordington on Saturday and Dorchester town centre on Sunday.

Saturday: Stinsford Parish Fete

Come along to a fun-filled event, a cooking demonstration by Head chef Jamie from Yalbury cottage at 11:30am. Live music, bbq, bar, teas and cakes, lunches, skittles, books, plants and many many more. Fun dog show will be held around 1-2pm and a children's bug hunt. Parking is available and overflow at the animal park.

Sunday: Roast at The Club House

Sunday roasts at The Club House.

Two courses for £20 and three courses for £25 for a starter, main or a main and dessert.

Bank Holiday Monday: Screening of state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

Plaza Cinema in Dorchester will be showing the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The funeral of the Queen will take place on Monday (19th) with a free screening in the auditorium.

Seating is limited so tickets must be collected - free of charge - from the Box Office team.
