Friday: Relate Open Evening
Counselling service Relate Dorset & South Wiltshire is holding an open evening on Friday, July 14 to give people an opportunity to find out more about what they do - offering so much more than just marriage guidance! There will be information available as well as members of staff to talk, to plus free refreshments and activities, including face painting. Why not pop by and learn more about them?
Saturday: BeeFest
The annual BeeFest event will be held from 10am to 4pm at The Great Field in Poundbury, and promises to be buzzing with some of the South West's best food, drink and products inspired by our favourite hive-dweller.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness about bees and their importance in our eco-system, as well as providing a full afternoon out for the whole family. Come along and meet the Weymouth and Dorchester beekeepers and come and take a look around the stalls offering wax rolling, skep making, honey, expert talks, face painting, nature art and more. Children will also be able to get up close with some creepy crawlies thanks to Bugfest, the South West's original exotic animal experience.
Saturday: Summer Markets
Two summer markets on the same day! Both Dorchester Prison Events and Experiences and Shire Hall Museum are hosting summer markets on Saturday, July 15, with the two being just a short walk from each other.
Free to enter, you can browse incredible local stalls whilst exploring two of Dorchester's most historic buildings.
Saturday: An Evening of Light Music with the Encore Singers
Join the Encore Singers for a joyful evening singing some well-known songs to celebrate the arrival of summer, from 7.30pm on Saturday, July 15 in the United Church, South Street, Dorchester.
The evening will also feature a guest appearance from Heather Reed & Brenda Stephenson on piano. Admission is free, with a retiring collection for the Harlequin Care, a charity providing free of charge holistic treatments for Dorset's unpaid carers.
Sunday: Borough Gardens Summer Sessions
Borough Gardens Summer Sessions offering free live music continues on Sunday, July 16 at 2pm, with WHAT the PHUNK.
