The views of Dorchester businesses on flexible workspace in the town are wanted by Dorset Council.

Transform Research is canvassing interest for the facility where individuals and businesses can rent hot desk and space in a co-working premises.

They want to assess the demand, what local business wants and get a full picture of Dorchester's 'work hub' needs.

If you have any interest in renting workspace, you can fill out the survey here.

Peter Greenaway, president of Dorchester Chamber, said: "Dorset Council has commissioned some research into the feasibility of setting up a work hub in Dorchester using Transform Research, who have set up similar schemes in a number of towns in Devon.

"This was raised at the recent meeting we had with Dorset Council as something which would be a benefit to small businesses, so it looks like your comments have prompted some investigative research.

"If you are a small business and would be interested in completing the questionnaire so that Dorset Council can assess whether it is a project which would be a benefit to Dorchester businesses, please do so and please tell other small business owners about it as well - it isn't just for chamber members but for all small businesses in the town."
