Dorchester Arts will be welcoming back live audiences indoors this autumn with a range of entertainment.

While a return to the Corn Exchange in September isn't on the card, the good news is that it has successfully managed to move many existing shows to other venues in and around Dorchester.

Here's what's on the line-up:

  • Wednesday, October 6 - Tenebrae: Drop, Drop Slow Tears at St Mary's Church
  • Sunday, October 10 - Lawrence After Arabia film at Herrison Hall
  • Friday, October 15 - Bryon Wallen's Four Corners at Dorset Museum
  • Sunday, October 17 - Budapest Café Orchestra at Herrison Hall
  • Friday, October 22 - The Unravelling Wilburys at Herrison Hall
  • Saturday, October 30 - Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman at Dorset Museum
  • Friday, November 5 - jenny Éclair at Herrison Hall
  • Sunday, November 7 - Ninebarrow at Herrison Hall

Dorchester Arts had aimed to re-open at the end of September, a number of factors means that this will now be delayed. Extra work was necessary to strengthen the apse end of the building and the builders in charge of works at the Corn Exchange are still feeling the impact of Covid on the building trade - not only through non-availability of materials and equipment, but also through employees needing to self-isolate.

Dorchester Arts hopes to welcome audiences back to the Corn Exchange in mid-December with a line-up of festive and celebratory events.
