I remember as a child going to Walnut Grove when shopping in Dorchester with my parents, many years ago.

So, I thought it was about time to go back.

I went in for a midweek lunch and the staff quickly greeted me and couldn't have been more friendly.

There was a great range of specials available complementing the main menu, which included breakfasts, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and more.

I can now vouch for the sandwiches after enjoying a tuna and cucumber one, which came with slaw and crisps. Couldn't resist having a Palmers ginger beer with it.

It was very busy but service was still quick and prompt, as well as meals and snacks being reasonably priced. I'll definitely be going back for lunch soon!
