Operating just outside of Dorchester, this company has a robust finance department that is growing to meet the demands of its expanding operations.Job DescriptionFinance Manager:Support in managing finance employees and their Performance Development Reviews (PDRs).Optimise debt collection through close collaboration with the Financial Controller (FC) and Operations.Accurately and promptly post all financial transactions onto the Sage system. Properly document and file all finance paperwork.Timely submission of accurate income claims into the customer system.Swift resolution of income-related queries and ensuring timely payment of sale invoices.Achieve the monthly finance timetable.Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheets and profit-loss schedules.Review monthly postings by department and project.Handle month-end journals, including Depreciation, Prepayments, and Adjustments.Manage weekly cash flow and contribute to monthly reporting.Ensure daily backups of Sage data.Regularly test and maintain systems' Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).Collaborate closely with the FC to prepare and submit the VAT return by the due date.Assist with the year-end audit conducted by the FC.Ensure the submission of Monthly HMRC returns and make timely payments.The Successful ApplicantFinance Manager:Proficient in producing statutory accountsExperience in participating in annual financial auditsStrong collaborative skills within a team settingManagerial experience overseeing a team of two or more individualsEffective communication at all organisational levelsCapability to prioritise and thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlinesSkillful management of both personal and team workloadsAbility to oversee multiple projects simultaneouslyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel and WordExceptional communication skills, both orally and in writingDesirable qualifications in Finance/Commercial, but demonstrable experience in the mentioned areas is paramount.What's on OfferSalary Bracket: £40,000-£45,000 annually, determined by knowledge, skills, and experience.Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with the option of flexibility for additional hours as needed.Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 UK Public holidays.Company Pension Scheme: Nest Pension Scheme with 5% employee and 3% employer contributions.Employee Assistance Programme.Participation in Company Events.Enjoyable and Supportive Work Environment.ContactBilly AllenQuote job refJN-388Phone number
