We're Hiring: Electrical Design Engineer - Robotics & Automation

We're supporting one of the UK's leading industrial automation specialists in their search for a talented Electrical Design Engineer. Known for their work in robotics and aerospace, this company delivers cutting-edge, custom automation solutions to some of the most advanced sectors in the world.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design industrial control systems using EPLAN (or similar)
• Develop 2D panel layouts and detailed electrical schematics
• Support cross-functional teams across design, build, and delivery
• Occasionally assist hands-on with fault-finding and workshop support
• Ensure systems meet safety and compliance standards (ISO 13849, BS EN 60204)
• Travel to client sites across the UK, including in aerospace and defence sectors

What We're Looking For:

• HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Solid experience designing industrial electrical systems
• Strong grasp of relevant standards (ISO 13849 / BS EN 60204)
• Confident in managing projects independently and meeting deadlines
• A problem solver with a passion for innovation
• UK citizenship (due to sector security requirements)
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Familiarity with safety-critical systems and emergency stop design
• Workshop-level understanding of fault-finding and testing
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Working Hours:

Mon-Thu: 08:30-17:00 Fri: 08:30-16:00
