Interim Building Surveyor - Southwest based position - Long-term interim role - £35 per hour Your new company An opportunity has arisen for an experienced building surveyor to join a registered landlord who owns, manages, maintains, and continuously develops a wide range of residential properties across the Southwest region. We are interested in speaking to experienced Interim Building Surveyors who would be interested in joining a property & assets team for a long-term contract position. Your new role As a Building Surveyor, you will undertake a wide scope of different work within a residential setting. Your role will include undertaking initial defect diagnosis across residential properties, before creating detailed reports and specifications, outlining the defect and cause of defect as identified. As part of your role, you will engage with a local framework contractor in order to deliver the required work to repair the defect. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this position, it is important that you have a number of years experience working in a building surveying capacity within a maintenance setting - ideally within a residential setting. You'll need to have excellent building pathology understanding, good CDM knowledge, and robust project management skills in order to be successful in this role. What you'll get in return In return, you will be offered an initial interim contract position with initial duration of six months, which is expected to extend beyond this point, and could also progress into a permanent role if this could be of interest. You'll receive an hourly rate of up to £35 per hour, paid to you on a weekly basis, for the duration of your contract.
