With the weather set to be lovely and sunny this Mother's Day, we've put together a selection of walks for you to enjoy with the family - or even to enjoy by yourself or with the dog.

All routes have a combination of field and pavement walking.

Athelhampton

This three and a half mile route takes in a lot of the Athelhampton countryside, and can also coincide with a visit to Athelhampton House

Charlton Down

This 2.8-mile route takes around an hour and if you have smack children, you can take advantage of the pay area at the start and finish of the walk.

Charminster

There is some lovely paths and countryside just outside of Dorchester and this two-mile walk allows you to enjoy some of it

Stinsford and Kingston Maurward

Still a firm favourite of ours - a short walk taking in part of Hardy Way, it is a really lovely route.

Poundbury

Poundbury has lots to offer, including many walking routes. There are lots of eateries too if you walk up an appetite!

A here's one with pushchairs and wheelchairs in mind:

Dorchester

Explore the paths in and around the town centre with this pushchair and wheelchair friendly route.
