Five of our favourite Dorchester walks

What better way to start the new year than blowing the cobwebs away and getting over that hangover with a walk with friends and family!

Here are five of our favourite circular walks in and around the town for you to enjoy this bank holiday weekend:

  1. Athelhampton

Although we did this walk in the summer and it was absolutely beautiful, we're sure this three and a half mile walk will be wonderful in any season!

  1. Frampton

This lovely circular walk combined a stroll through woodlands and countryside and took just over two miles.

  1. Maiden Castle Farm

Taking in parts of Poundbury, we did this one to coincide with the farm's beautiful sunflower maize, but it's a great three-mile circular route any time!

  1. Ratty's Trail

A great central walk taking in all the beautiful riverside walks Dorchester has to offer!

  1. Stinsford and Kingston Maurward

One of our first walks for Dorchester Nub News and one of our favourites! It's a short one at just two miles, but one not to miss!
